Mechanicsville Joins the Metro Youth Football League!

We are excited to announce that the Mechanicsville Hornets will be playing in the Metro Youth Football League for this upcoming Fall season. The associations with the River City League have agreed to join Metro to form one league.
What does this new merging involve? Here are a few items to start

1.) 21 associations included
2.) 4 new divisions
3.) Additional playoff games
4.) Season ending All-star Game
5.) 6U Flag and Tackle Divisions (Mechanicsville will continue to offer 6U Tackle)

The season schedule will also change as we will start a little earlier than last year. We will get into more detail about the schedule as we get closer to the start of practice.

Practice Starts: July 31st
First Game: August 26th
First Week of Playoffs: October 21st
Cheer Expo: October 22nd
Second Week of Playoffs: October 28th
Semi-Finals: November 4th
Championship Games: November 11th
All-Star Games: November 18th
